Medivh
The child of the court Conjurer and a mysterious traveler,[1] Medivh's birth was planned by his mother so she might have a child to pass her knowledge and power to.[2]
Indeed he became a sorcerer and on the eve of his Age of Ascension his powers awoke in a fearful display,[3] killing his father who tried to contain it and putting Medivh into a deep sleep.[4] The struggle between Medivh and his father inadvertently opened the gateway for the Orcs to enter the world of Azeroth.[5]
He broke himself out of his sleep on Prince Llane's Age of Ascension and went straight to Stormwind Keep to present Llane with the Obsidian Hourglass.[6]
